2020 IAU 24 HOUR ASIA & OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS BENGALURU

Introduction: In three years since ultra-runners from India started representing the country at International Ultra-running Championships, India will for the first time host an IAU ultra running championship – the 2020 IAU 24 Hours Asia & Oceania Championships Bengaluru. Up to 06 Men and 06 Women, meeting criteria laid down by the AFI could be selected to form the team.

Registration:   Interested ultra runners may visit AFI Website from 13 Mar 2020 to 12 April 2020 and submit an ONLINE entry.

Eligibility: Interested ultra runners who can meet the Entry Standards are eligible to participate. The Entry standards are as under;

Selection Process (Race Results). The results of the races run by the athlete must be available on the website of the organizer as on the date of submission of the application. Results, which are made available after the last date for submission of the application, will not be considered. Results of Races, which have a minimum of 05 participants in the applicable race category, would be considered.

Fee : Selected athletes will be required to make a deposit of Rs 20,000/- through the AFI towards accommodation and miscellaneous expenditure. Athletes who opt to make their own arrangements for accommodation will require to make a deposit of Rs 5000/- towards miscellaneous expenditure. Athletes are required to give their willingness to fund their participation in the event at the time of submission of the application form and make the necessary deposit on time. Failure to make the deposit on time will result in withdrawal of the athlete’s entry.
