27-year old Indian Javelin Thrower Annu Rani sent iron spear to a distance of 62.43 m and qualified for the finals and became the first India women thrower who reached in the finals of world championships after breaking her own earlier national record of 62.34m.
Archana Suseentran: Archana Suseentran finished 8th with a timing of 23.65 in 200 meters heats and fails to qualify for finals.
Anjali Devi: Anjali Devi finished 6th with a timing of 52.33 in 400 meters heats and fails to qualify for finals.

अर्चना सुसीनट्रान : अर्चना सुसीनट्रान ने 200 M की रेस 23.65 सेकण्ड्स में ख़तम किया और अठवा िस्थान हासिल किया हलकी वे अंतिम दौर में पहुंचने में असक्षम रही.
अंजलि देवी : अंजलि देवी ने 400 M की रेस 52.33 सेकण्ड्स में ख़तम किया और छठा िस्थान हासिल किया हलकी वे अंतिम दौर में पहुंचने में असक्षम रही
