Responsibilities:
- Administer, supervise and monitor the implementation of the Target Olympic Podium Scheme, Khelo India Scheme and Assistant to NSF Scheme. Assist the Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) in fulfillment of its mandate.
- Lead the Secretariat staff and administer and supervise the personnel deemed fit, based on the need and the nature of work. Supervise and guide the research team for all activities undertaken/delegated to it.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relations, including with Khelo India Games secretariat, Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Indian Olympic Association, National Anti-Doping Agency to ensure that athlete training plans and performance objectives for Olympic Games are aligned with all necessary stakeholders.
- Monitor, evaluate and implement all plans related to infrastructure and facilities for Indian Weightlifting Federation. This would include overseeing the operations of training institutes, National Centre of Excellence (NCOE), Khelo India Accredited Centres (including sports science & medicine) etc. and the need for improvement of facilities
Educational Requirements:
- Essential: 2 years Post Graduate degree in any field after completion of 3 years or more of Undergraduate Degree from a recognized Institution.
- Desirable: PhD/MBA in Sports Management.
Experience Requirements:
Essential: 5-7 years of experience in Management/Leadership role in Public/Private Sector Companies, Sports Organizations, Consultancy Organizations, International / Multinational Organization, Government Departments.
Desirable: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sports Administration.
