Esports: University of Warwick to host TCL World Esports Championship

The University of Warwick is set to host the TCL World University Esports Championship this October 2024. The event will feature top student gamers from across the UK. After an initial registration period, universities will conduct internal competitions, leading up to a national online tournament. The championship will culminate in the grand final on October 26th at Warwick’s Esports Centre, where finalists will vie for a £1,000 prize and a new TCL TV.

This tournament aligns with TCL’s mission to empower young people by offering them a platform to showcase their skills in esports. It also reflects Warwick’s continued dedication to the esports industry, having previously hosted notable events and invested heavily in its esports infrastructure
