India High jumper Sh. Suhas Anil Kushare on 15 July 2023 cliched Silver for India  at the Asian Athletics Championships2023

  • With a jump of 2.26m in the Men’s High Jump Final, Suhas gave his season-best performance but missed the first spot by a close margin of .02m to World’s No. 1, 🇰🇷’s Sanghyeok Woo.

India athlete Ms.  Parul Chaudhary on 15 July 2023 grabbed Gold for India  at the Asian Athletics Championships.

  • She clocked a time of 9:38.76 in the Women’s 3000m Steeplechase Final to mark this feat.

India’s Mixed Relay Team grabbed Gold  for India  at Asian Athletics Championships

  • Rajesh Ramesh,  Aishwarya Mishra, Amoj Jacob & Subha Venkateshan raced to mark victory with a timing of 3:14.70s in the 4×400 Mixed Relay Event

Judo

  • Ms. Olivia Devi Huidrom won a Gold medal in the women’s 44kg . In the final, Olivia defeated Ochirtuya Sandagdorj of Mongolia to win the Gold medal
  • India’s Ms. Linthoi Chanambam, World Cadets Championships gold medallist, had to be satisfied with a silver medal in the 63kg. Chanambam won Pool A by beating Ching Tung Suzuki Lin of Hong Kong
  • India’s Ms. Nugshithoi Leishangthem Chanu won the other silver medal for India in the women’s 52kg, who lost to Ariunzaya Terbish of Mongolia in the final.
  • India’s Ms. Dipapati Ngangba won the bronze medal in the women’s 70kg after losing to Jueun Kang of Korea in the semifinal.
