Responsibilities
- In consultation with the CEO Hockey India, Director High-Performance Hockey India, and SAI, develop the high-performance development programme for the respective High-Performance Hockey Centre.
- Be responsible for the implementation of the Hockey India development programme as part of the overall High-Performance programme in the respective zone of India.
- Work with SAI, Hockey India State and Member Units to ensure consistency and delivery of the Hockey India coaching standards.
- Identify talented junior and sub-junior athletes that can be escalated/groomed for the national team’s programme.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of coaches in Hockey India Member Units and Academies and identify talent for elite coaching opportunities.
- Utilise coaches throughout the Hockey India and SAI system to assist with the monitoring and skill development of athletes in all regions.
- In consultation with the Director, High Performance and the High-Performance team create, maintain and develop technical content for dissemination to the pathway.
- Assist in high-performance coach and player development initiatives.
- Monitor and report the status of the programme.
- Any other duty as assigned from time to time.
Qualification & Experience
- High-performance coaching qualifications (Level 2, FIH).
- Experience of successful performance achievements in a coaching capacity.
- Experience and proven capability in the holistic development of athletes and programmes from a grassroots level to elite hockey.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, organising and implementing a comprehensive high-performance coaching programme.
- Knowledge of leading trends in coaching, including coaching science, practices and the appropriate application of leading technology tools.
- Effective management skills that reflect your ability to build and successfully implement long-term strategic plans that are supported by informed operational decisions.
- Experience of working with multiple partners to achieve success including working with public funding agencies
